Cookie Notice

Last Updated: August 6, 20-24

TechnoSylva uses cookies, web beacons, and other technologies (collectively “Cookies”) when you use any of the TechnoSylva websites, mobile sites or mobiles apps (collectively the “Services”). This Notice explains what Cookies are, why we use them, and how you can manage their use.

Cookies Notice

If you do not wish to accept the use of Cookies please disable them by following the instructions below in this Notice or changing your browser settings so that Cookies cannot be placed on your computer or mobile device. Disabling certain Cookies (i.e., Essential Cookies) may render the Services inaccessible in whole, or in part.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are automatically downloaded to your computer or device when you visit a website. Cookies send data back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or share data with other websites that recognize that cookie.

Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize a user’s device over time. They can be used for lots of different activities, such as letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, personalizing your online experience, and generally improving the user experience. They can also help to ensure that the advertisements you see online are more relevant to you and your interests.

How do we use Cookies?

We use Cookies for a variety of purposes — to remember your preferences, provide product and site functionality, analyze use of the Services, enhance and personalize your experience, and provide online advertising that is more tailored to your interests.

Types of Cookies we use

There are four different types of Cookies we use:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies. These are Cookies that are required for the operation of our Services (e.g., to enable you to log-in to secure areas of our websites and load the Services). Without these Cookies, you may not be able to use the Services or all features of the Services.  We want you to understand these essential Cookies, and why we use them, but we don’t need to get your consent to use them on our Services as we use these Cookies only to provide you with services that you have requested. You cannot opt out of these Cookies.
  • Functionality Cookies. These Cookies allow our Services to remember choices you make, such as: remembering your preferences and settings; remembering if you’ve filled in a survey or taken part in a poll or contest or otherwise reacted to something on or through the Services, so you’re not asked to do it again; remembering if you’ve used any of our Services before; and remembering your location. The aim of these Cookies is to provide you with a more personal experience so that you don’t have to reset your preferences each time you use our Services. We also use these Cookies to provide enhanced services such as enabling you to view a video through the Services. As described below, you may disable these Cookies; but if you do so, then various functions of our Services may be unavailable to you or may not work the way you want them to.
  • Performance Cookies. These Cookies collect information about how visitors use and interact with our Services, for instance which pages they go to most often. These Cookies also enable us to personalize content and remember your preferences (e.g., your choice of language, country, or region). These Cookies help us improve the way our Services work and provide a better, personalized user experience.
  • Targeting Cookies. These Cookies record your visit to our websites, the pages you have visited, and the links you have clicked. They gather information about your browsing habits and remember that you have visited a website. We (and third-party advertising platforms or networks) may use this information to make our websites, content, and advertisements displayed on our Services and other websites more relevant to your interests (this is sometimes called “behavioral” or “targeted” advertising). These types of Cookies are also used to limit the number of times you see an online advertisement as well as to help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.

To find out more about interest-based ads and your choices, visit these sites: Digital Advertising Alliance, the Network Advertising Initiative, and the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Europe.

How long do Cookies stay on my device?

Some Cookies operate from the time you visit a TechnoSylva website or to the end of that particular web-browsing session. These Cookies expire and are automatically deleted when you close your internet browser. These Cookies are called “session” Cookies.

Some Cookies will stay on your device between browsing sessions — they do not expire when you close your browser. These Cookies are called “persistent” Cookies. The length of time a persistent cookie stays on your device varies from cookie to cookie.

Third party Cookies

Please note that third parties (including for example, advertising networks and providers of external services like web traffic analysis services) may also use Cookies on our Services.

We used trusted partners like Google to help us serve advertising and analytics companies like Google Analytics (see below) who may place Cookies on your device.

We have little control over these ‘third party’ Cookies, so we suggest that you check the respective privacy policies for these external services to help you understand what data these organizations hold about you and what they do with it.

How to control which Cookies are set

There are a number of ways you can manage what Cookies are set on your devices. As explained above, however, essential Cookies, cannot be disabled. If you block certain Cookies, the Services may not be accessible to you and/or the performance, features, or Services may not function in their intended way.

Your Cookies Choices

All cookies: Depending on your jurisdiction of residence, you can manage some or all Cookies by clicking on the “cookie” icon on the bottom left of our website.

You can also manage all types of Cookies your web browser. As the means by which to activate or deactivate Cookies varies from one web browser to another, you should visit your web browser’s help menu for more information on Cookie preferences. You can also configure your browser at any time to be notified of the receipt of a Cookie, so that you can decide whether you want to accept it or not. Cookies do not under any circumstances read the data from your hard drive and you can delete them from your computer at any time. At the moment, it is technically impossible for you to synchronize your settings between your browsers and your devices (your computer or your smartphone). You must set them on each browser/device that you currently use and each time you use a new browser or device.

Targeting cookies: If you are interested in more information about tailored online advertising and how you can generally control Cookies from being put on your computer to deliver tailored advertising, you may visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s Consumer Opt-Out link, the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Consumer Opt-Out link, or Your Online Choices to opt-out of receiving tailored advertising from companies that participate in those programs. To opt out of Google Analytics for display advertising or customize Google display network ads, visit the Google Ads Settings page.

Do Not Track Signals

There is no uniform or consistent standard or definition for responding to, processing, or communicating Do Not Track signals. At this time the TechnoSylva Services do not function differently based a user’s Do Not Track signal. For more information on Do Not Track signals, see All About Do Not Track.
